The staff and faculty of Helen M. Knight Intermediate School, along with Moab Mayor Dave Sakrison have announced that Symony Call is the recipient of the Mayor’s Citizenship Award for November.
The staff and faculty of HMK describe Call as “an incredible all-round student” and said her school work is “exceptional.” They also said Call is “pleasant to be around, always respectful and socially positive.”
Sakrison and the Moab City Council recognized Call at the city’s Dec. 9, council meeting.
The Students of the Month are selected by the faculty and staff of HMK based on their all around citizenship and their involvement within their school.
The city of Moab presents the awards as a way to foster and recognize the contributions of young people of this community in practicing good citizenship.
