The Moab to Monument Valley Film Commission is making an official call for submissions to the Get Reel in Moab Film Festival.

Residents of Grand, San Juan, Carbon, and Emery Counties are invited to submit any film work created between October 2007 and September 2008. Submissions must be on DVD, and all lengths and genres are welcome, including documentary, drama, comedy, horror, and animated films.

“The goal of the film commission is to not only bring in production companies from outside the area, but also to promote our local film industry,” said Tara Campbell, Director of the Moab to Monument Valley Film Commission. “We want to encourage our residents and residents of our surrounding communities to participate, create their own work, and use the film commission to their full advantage.”

All works must be submitted to the Moab to Monument Valley Film Office by Sept. 8, at 5 p.m.

The Get Reel in Moab Film Festival will be held in Star Hall, October 10-11. The public is invited to attend. For more information, contact the film office at 435-259-4341, or email Campbell at tara@moabcity.org.
