Women's golf league gets underway

    The Moab Women's Golf League got underway last month, and new participants are welcome, league organizers said.

    An 18-hole league is offered on Tuesday mornings and a 9-hole league is available on Wednesday afternoons at 5 p.m. Players of all skill levels are welcome.

    A Utah Golf Association card and an established handicap is required. For more information about the league or how to establish a handicap and obtain a UGA card, contact Rob Jones at 259-6488.

    Current league officers are Chris Woodard, president, Chris Henderson, vice-president, Glenda Ciarus, secretary, Chris Corwin, treasurer, Pat Richeson, handicap person, and Colleen Beever, newspaper articles.

    March 11-12 league game results: low gross ‒ Mary Ann Murray, Helen Kimber, Carol Martin, Pat Richeson, and low net ‒ Chris Woodard, Allene Kirby, Glenda Ciarus. March 18-19 league game results: Team Chicago ‒ Mary Ann Murray, Bette Badger, Sharon Copeland, Chris Woodard, Carol Martin, Chris Woodard, and Shelley Kasprick. March 25-26 results: throw out two worst scores ‒ gross, Chris Woodard, Mary Ann Murray, Colleen Beever; Cindy Daye and Carol Martin tied; net: Bette Badger, Chris Henderson, Chris Woodard and Norma Constanza.
