Friends of Club Red has announced that it has received a $10,000 Daniels Fund grant to support Club Red.

The non-profit group's mission is to financially support the programming and operations of Club Red ensuring Grand County teens continued access to educational, recreational, service, and leadership opportunities that empower them to reach their full potential.

"The grant will enable our program to help cover a portion of the costs of operations of Club Red," said C.C. Stephens, vice president of Friends of Club Red. "It will help pay for the AmeriCorps Volunteer Program, including volunteer salaries, the phone bills, and help with the program director's salary."

The Daniels Fund operates the Daniels Fund Scholarship Program and the Daniels Fund Grants Program in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. Bill Daniels, a pioneer in cable television known for his kindness and generosity to those in need, established the Fund in 1997.
