Local resident Sandi Snead recently received her license to teach Zumba. Snead received the certification after completing a workshop held in Salt Lake City last month, according to a news release.

Zumba, a Latin-style dance and exercise program developed by Columbian dancer and choreographer Alberto “Beto” Perez, fuses Latin rhythms with easy-to-follow exercise moves to create a cardio-based and aerobic workout. The exercise program is designed for people of all ages and physical abilities, according to the news release.

Snead will offer a free introductory ZUMBA class at the Moab Arts and Recreation Center, 111 East 100 North, on Sat. April 17 at 10:30 a.m.
