With just two weeks left in the season, the three teams in Moab City Recreation's Mustang baseball league (for boys in third and fourth grades) are in a tight race for the league title.

The A's defeated the Reds Monday evening, June 25, to improve their overall record to 4-3, bringing them closer to the 5-1 Yankees, who had a bye. Meanwhile, the Reds dropped to 1-6 overall, but they still have two more games against the Yankees and one more against the A's.

A key player for the A's has been pitcher Tanner Bisco, who was playing shortstop for the first few innings of Monday's game.

"We're saving him to pitch at a tournament in Blanding this weekend," explained his mom, assistant coach Kali Bisco.

The A's head coach is Ron Dolphin and the team is sponsored by Bisco Construction. The other two head coaches in the Mustang league are Steve White of the Reds and Jason Parriott of the Yankees.
