The Grand County High School boys basketball team lost to the Enterprise Wolves in a 2A tournament play-in game at Cedar City last Saturday, Feb. 20. Enterprise defeated the Red Devils by the score of 57-38, putting an end to a disappointing season for the Grand team.

The Red Devils managed to stay with the Wolves during the first quarter, which ended with the score 9-8 in favor of Enterprise. Freshman center Austin Clark made all eight of Grand’s points during the quarter.

But the Wolves then went on a 19-6 run to close out the first half, and Grand trailed by double digits for the rest of the game.

Clark finished with 11 points, while Red Devil sophomore Zak Hazlett added 10 and Robbie Sweeten scored six. Grand’s Kody Frank and Preston Walston each contributed four points, and Scott Sweeten added three.

For the Wolves, Kyle West led the way with 22 points, including four 3-pointers.

The Red Devils boys basketball team ended their season with a 3-15 overall record.
