The Moab to Monument Valley Film Commission will hold its second annual film festival Oct. 10-11 in Star Hall.

The 2008 Get Reel in Moab film festival will showcase local filmmakers and films from Grand, San Juan, Carbon, and Emery counties.

“Our goal as a film commission is not only to bring filmmakers to our area, but also to encourage our locals to get out there and work in the film industry,” said Tara Campbell, film commission director. “We are hoping this festival will provide a networking opportunity for the individuals living nearby, and also it is a chance to show off their film pieces.”

Admission to the event is $3 per scheduled showing, or $5 for the day.
