The Red Rock Stars wrapped up this year’s dance season with national championships in the “Lyrical” division and the “Entire Team” division at the Stars National Dance Competition in Las Vegas.

The Moab Stars competed with teams from California, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico and Nevada.

The competition spanned a three-day period that included solo performances, duets and trios along with individual team routines and entire team routines. The Red Rock Stars placed in the top five for most of their divisions.

The “Mini Stars” took the national championship in the Lyrical division, and the Red Rock Stars’ Hip-Hop routine won the national championship for the entire team.

Earlier this spring the team traveled to other competitions. Bailey Hansen and Emily Knowles were named Stars Regional Soloist Queens in their divisions.

The new dance season will begin in August with a summer camp and tryouts. For more information about the Red Rock Stars contact Debbie at 435-260-1610, or Irene at 435-260-8465.
