GCHS Students of the Year…
Grand County High School’s Students of the Year for 2009-10 were announced during a luncheon at the Moab Elks Lodge on Tuesday, May 4. They are sophomore Matz Indergard (left) and junior Bettymaya Foott (right). Both students had previously received the school’s Student of the Month award, with Indergard winning in December 2008 and Foott in January 2010. Pictured at center is Exalted Ruler Louis Manson of Moab Elks Lodge No. 2021, which sponsors the GCHS Student of the Month program. The 18 GCHS students who received Student of the Month honors during the 2009-2010 school year were also recognized and treated to a pizza lunch, along with members of the school’s chapter of the National Honor Society. The Students of the Year were selected from among the underclassmen who had previously been named Student of the Month.
