On May 9, 2011 Girl Scout Troop No. 2222 presented the Humane Society of Moab Valley with a $50 donation. From left, troop members Jena Swink, Tenney Cooke, Nova Hill, Maggie Rutherford, Brittany Backes, Brianna Whitney, Taylor Denton, Abby Estenson pose with Humane Society director Candice Billingsley after presenting Billingsley with the check. The Girl Scouts used some of the profits from their cookie sales this year to make the donation, which also helps satisfy part of the requirement for their philanthropy badges. The girls, along withTroop leaders Michele Hill and Marlee Swink, also received a tour of the shelter and were given little animal puzzles as a thank you gift.
