Investigators work to separate two semi-tractor trailers that collided on U.S. 191 on Monday, July 19. The accident occurred at about 3:30 p.m. at mile 128, north of the Colorado River Bridge, when an oversized-load semi transporting a windmill blade crossed the centerline and struck a southbound semi. The windmill turbine blade became stuck against the other truck, blocking traffic and forcing law enforcement to close the highway for a short time, according to a report from the Utah Highway Patrol. Crew workers separated the two vehicles and removed them from the travel lane in about one hour, UHP officials said. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
